KaJuana's Breaking Point: She lost it — 95lbs!

Hi my name is KaJuana. I reached my Breaking Point in 2008 while on vacation with my family in Chicago. I weighed 240 pounds and had a problem keeping up with them. We walked from shop-to-shop and that was a very challenging experience. It was so bad that I told my family to go on without me. I didn’t want to slow them down. I was tired from the walking and tired of carrying the weight.
THAT WAS MY BREAKING POINT!
From that day forward, I told myself I was going to lose weight and better manage my diabetes!!!
Here are some of the results of my weight-loss decision:
- I started walking a little everyday and lost 60 pounds.
- I signed up for and completed the ING Half-Marathon in March of 2010.
- In July of 2010, I started running with support & motivation from Mario and the RBS group. I love it!
- I lost an additional 30 pounds as a result of being part of Mario’s RBS group.
- I signed up for and completed the Locomotive Half Marathon in September of 2010.
- I dramatically improved with my health and have kept off ALL the weight.
- I lost 95 pounds so far!
- I still have my good days and my bad days, but my health has dramatically improved since I started running!
