Oats Instructions:
Add 1/4 cup of steel cut oats to a saucepan with 1 1/2 cup of water. When the water starts boiling, reduce the heat to low and use the lid to cover 1/2 of pan of boiling oats to prevent it from boiling over. Allow the water to slowly evaporate. Stir occasionally and cook for about 15-20 minutes or until the water evaporates. The oats should have a creamy white fluid around the perimeter of the sauce pan. Turn off the fire and cover the oats completely and let them absorb the remaining water for about 15 minutes while cooling.
Peanut Instructions:
- While cooking the oats, crack 10 peanuts (20 individual nuts with the seed coat).
- Blend the 20 seeds into a powder (which will produce be about 1/8 of a cup). The powder will bind the ingredients like peanut butter. It’s a good idea to roll it into a ball and set aside for later usage.
Mixing Instructions:
- Heat can cause changes to the structure and function of protein so give the oats time to cool before adding the peanut ball and protein powder. (The Effects of Heating on Protein Foods.)
- Put the COOLED oats in your bowl and add the peanut ball and one scoop (25g) of the Isopure Zero Carbs Creamy Vanilla Whey Protein powder. This will ensure that all of the ingredients are in the bowl and not mixed nor left in the sauce pan.
