Description
This is a 20-Week program which gives you experience with 26.2 miles prior to your 10/07/18 Marathon.
THE 20-WEEK CHICAGO MARATHON TRAINING PROGRAM
- Is for beginner, intermediate & even advanced runners who is currently able to complete a minimum of 10 miles in 2:30:00 (Pace 15:00) or faster before the start of Session 01 on May 20, 2018 but you must also be able to complete 15.5 miles before day 1 of the program.
- The Bank of America Chicago Marathon has a course time limit of 6 hours and 30 minutes which requires for participants to maintain a 15:00 pace and complete the full marathon distance—start line to finish-line within the event time requirement.

WHAT YOU ARE REQUIRED TO DO
- Do the work which is to meet or slightly beat your assigned distance, pace and recovery targets.
- Upload your run data the day you complete them.
- Give your coach the opportunity to be your coach by following his/her lead.
Q & A’S
- QUESTION: Is most of the work done on your own?
- ANSWER: Yes, the runs are mostly done on your own even though I highly encourage and push for team meet-ups for all runs.
- QUESTION: Do you have group runs? If so, where?
- ANSWER: The locations will vary. For those who live in or near Chicago, the meet up location & times will vary based on the distance of the run but we meet as early as 5AM. We will meet-up mostly near parts of the Chicago Marathon run course. You will be notified in advance of the runs of the times and location.
- QUESTION: What do I have to do after I register?
- Send Coach Mario Wiggins a Facebook friend request if you are not already connected.
- Complete the initial Public Team Assignment – you will be tagged.
- Complete the TeamRBS Run Survey – Instructions will be emailed.
- Make sure you will have a base of 15.5 miles at a pace of 15:00 per mile or faster by 05/20/18.
